1/27 Meeting Minutes

Meeting for January 26th
  • Meeting on February 2nd
  • Active money due February 16th
  • Section 30 Announcement: Raf and Jack
    • Klondike: Boy scout event where scouts push sleds through the forest and they are in need of volunteers
      • February 8th
      • At Highlands Presbyterian Camp
      • Arrive Friday to set up, work Saturday, leave Sunday (another option is to only go Saturday)
    • Challenge: a challenge among other chapters in section 30 to gain the most service house over the month of February. This will help in raising funds for section 30. The losers of this challenge will have to go to the winning school’s campus and have pies thrown at them.

  • SOGLBT Poverty Simulation

    • 10-15 people sign up
  • Requirements for this semester:
    • 25 Service hours (5 may be outside hours)
    • 4 Fellowships
    • 1 Fundraiser
    • 1 Leadership Credit
      • More info to come on leadership credit
      • Members will have to fill out a Leadership Credit form to get Leadership Credit
      • Some ways to get the Leadership Credit:
        • going to conference
        • committee leaders can decide if you receive credits
        • leadership seminars

    • Will be in charge in planning the Spring Formal
    • Give a description of experience you have and list any ideas you have

    • Can earn leadership credit by working for the committee
    • Will be planning a dodgeball tournament

    • No Committee but will be available the first Monday of each month at 3:00pm for any concerns or if anyone has any questions I can help with
  • RUSH IS COMING
    • Prize for whoever brings the most new potential members to rush events!
    • Show up at transit center 15 minutes before all rush events and wear your letters
    • Hand out flyers!!!!
