BE SURE TO VOTE FOR APO SHARES ONLINE!!!!
  • Our APO Shares are how we put the money that we have worked so hard to fundraise all year and semester to good use!
    • Here are the organizations we will be donating to. This is just for our semester donation.
    • Keep an eye out for more information on how to vote
    • Please remember that we MUST have at least ⅔ of the active members in the chapter vote, so YES IT DOES MATTER WHETHER OR NOT YOU VOTE and it is one of your very important responsibilities as a member!

FoCo Cafe- FOCO Café, also known as Feeding Our Community Ourselves, is a non-profit that will provide nutritious and delicious food to the Fort Collins community through a “pay what you can” lunch service. You can donate what you normally pay for lunch, what you can, or donate your time to help out in the kitchen. They will be using donations to help finish the building of the café and finally get open to the community serving primarily locally grown ingredients! http://fococafe.org/

Kids at Heart- Kids at Heart is an organization that we have donated a lot of time to and have fund raised for in the past. They are a local organization for foster and adoptive children and we go in and help facilitate activities and help to ensure everything runs smoothly. This would be a great organization to continue to help since we work directly with them and can see our efforts become a reality.  http://www.kidsatheartfundango.org/

Campus Corps- Campus Corps is a multidisciplinary service learning course at CSU where undergraduate students serve as mentors to at-risk youth. Students from over 65 different majors work one on one with at-risk youth ranging in age from 10-18 who are referred to Campus Corps from our community partners within the juvenile justice system of Larimer County, local schools, community agencies, and directly from families. Student mentors spend four hours once a week with their mentee in a group setting to provide academic support and career planning, encourage positive social skill development, assist with goal setting, and implement wellness programming. This is an amazing on campus organization that depends on fundraising and donations in order to run. They would benefit greatly from receiving APO Shares. http://www.hdfs.chhs.colostate.edu/students/undergraduate/campuscorps/

RamRide- Ramride is a safe, non-judgmental ride home. They provide rides Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays almost every weekend. As a fraternity, we have been volunteering with them for a few years. They are hoping to raise more money to expand the program even more, so this would be a great place to donate. A group we are so passionate about working with already!

Free the Girls- Free the Girls provides an opportunity for women who have been rescued from sex trafficking to earn a living selling second-hand clothing while they go back to school. Many women were trafficked as children and were not given the opportunity to attend school. Selling clothes allows them to work as much or as little as their school schedule permits. Second-hand clothing is a profitable market in many countries around the world and bras are highly sought after items. Some of the women and girls selling bras are making 5x the minimum wage in their country. Additionally, bras provide women and girls the opportunity to work with other women and girls, since they have had a history of being abused by men. http://freethegirls.org/
