2/2 Meeting Minutes

Active money is due February 16th
  • This is a competition between houses so get your money in ASAP to win some points for your house
Pledge Ceremony
  • We will be welcoming in the new pledge class
    • Friday February 7th at 6 pm
    • Actives meet at the Transit Center by 5:30 so we can walk over together
      • The Ceremony will be held in New Rockwell
    • Dress Business Casual
      • The correct way to dress:
        • Must be wearing dress shirts or blouses (NO T-SHIRTS)
        • Must wear khaki slacks, dress pants, or dark wash jeans (without holes)
        • May also wear dresses
        • Shoes must be clean and worn for the entire evening (no taking off your shoes) and no athletic shoes
        • Failing to follow this dress code or behaving inappropriately during the ceremony will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in being asked to leave by the Sergeant of Arms.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
  • February marks the start of our challenge in service hours against Gamma Theta (the CU Boulder chapter)
  • If you want to sign up for events after minutes are out please email the Service Chair

St. Baldrick’s
  • This is an event we would like to try to put on either this semester or next semester where you raise money for childrens cancer by having people of the community shave their heads.
    • We want the chapters opinion on when this should happen
  • There is a potential for Leadership Credits
  • If you are interested or want more information please contact Kate to get involved

One final thing
  • From now on we will be calling ourselves APhiO
    • This is because the P in APO is often mistaken as Rho. Many other schools call themselves APhiO and we would like to incorporate this clarification into our chapter as well.
